“I’ve stayed at this lodge twice, once in 2020 and now again in 2024. As someone who works for a 4-diamond hotel in downtown Chicago for the past 10 years, I’d like to offer my honest opinion. For what the property is both inside and out it’s a solid stay. The rooms are consistently clean, and I’ve never encountered any issues like trash etc... While the property might be a bit outdated, it’s important to keep in mind that you’re not staying in a high-rise hotel in Chicago or New York. The staff……

“The property was beyond my expectations! I remember it many years ago and wasn't sure how it would be. I found out while staying there that the old property had been torn down and rebuilt all new. The rooms were very comfortable. The property offered a wonderful patio with firepits a bar and restaurant on site. Matthew was very helpful answering my questions about it. We only stayed for a night but would definately stay there again if visiting Sewanee! Thank you for an enjoyable and relaxing……
