Our recent one-night stay at La Vue D’Or Hotel in Sorrento was nothing short of exceptional. We were fortunate to have a room with a stunning view of Mount Vesuvius, which truly enhanced our experience. The serene, quiet location of the hotel offered breathtaking vistas that made our stay even more memorable. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the incredible staff. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel genuinely welcomed, showcasing a level of hospitality that went above and beyond. A special mention must be given to their thoughtful assistance in arranging for a forgotten pack of clothes to be sent back to our home in the USA—they handled this with remarkable efficiency and care. In summary, La Vue D’Or combines amazing views, a peaceful setting, and outstanding service. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sorrento.

Gran opción por qué tienes la vista y el hotel. El personal divino, no se diga en el restaurante. Están para ayudarte, perfecto para personas con movilidad reducida, la comida deliciosa. Creo que en desayunos hay una área de oportunidad en las galletas y dulces, estando en Sorrento valdría la pena panes de panaderías locales y no algo comercial. El tema del transporte de gran ayuda. After rushing around on a tour of Italy, we arrived at this hotel feeling tired. The stunning views, pool, and friendly staff were very welcome. There is a shuttle bus every hour to get to Sorrento city centre. We had a balcony with views over the Bay of Napoli. We were sad to leave.

We had a fantastic stay at Vue d’or. Me, my husband and our two year old were comfortable in our triple room which had a balcony overlooking Sorrento and Vesuvius, and the sea. Stunning views. We loved being a little out of town so it was quieter and the free shuttle bus (and local bus if shuttle time not convenient) worked perfectly to get in and out of town quickly. Breakfast was okay, every day was the same (egg, beans, sausages, cold meats, yoghurt, fruit and cereal) but it was absolutely fine and covered all bases/tastes. We ate at the hotel on our first night but it was quite expensive so chose to eat in Sorrento for the rest of our stay. The pool is not heated and was very cold but obviously down to time of year. Staff were friendly and happy to help, Tony in the restaurant was always smiling and obviously loves his job. Hotel was very clean. Overall I would definitely recommend and return to HVD!

My sister and I enjoyed our stay. The staff is incredibly accommodating, friendly and helpful. There are some areas that could use some attention - tissues and wash cloths should be provided, bed comforters should be better laundered, cob webs in the corners of the room, dining room lighting should be dimmed at night... These are very simple things to improve upon that would definitely enhance your guests experience. Overall, this is a very nice affordable hotel with amazing views and LOVE the free shuttle transportation to Sorrento. Grazie for an unforgettable visit!!!

This is a really nice place. Only problem: they never responded to my message about getting there from the train station... Other than that, outstanding. The restaurant is really good, breakfast was included and was ok. We have dinner twice and the food was just great. At check out, I asked information on how to get to the port and these directions were spot on. The room was a little small but very comfortable except for the donkey that some is up at 5:00 AM. need was very comfortable. The shuttle service is excellent but beware that it only stops once per hour at the hotel and there is only one drop-off point.
