“If you love nature, you will love The Canopy! We spotted a platypus on the first day and a cassowary on our way out! The birds are beautiful and the turtles plentiful. The staff were kind and helpful. They even built a fire for us on a cool day. Loved every minute of our time there. ”

“Wonderful place to retreat for a few days with beautiful walks on the property through tropical forest. If you like nature and seclusion this is the place for you. The rooms are well maintained, clean and comfortable with all the amenaties needed for self catering. There is however, no Wifi access in the room and telephone coverage is poor; so I would not recomend this for someone who needs to stay connected. Otherwise, no complaints and an enjoyable stay.”

“The location is close enough to town if you need something and far enough away to enjoy relaxing with a glass of wine. After opening the door and stepping inside, it took our breath away with the presentation and all of the little extras that Pam and John had included. “The most generous and accommodating hosts sharing an amazing property with incredible views, peaceful and beautiful natural surroundings and the most tasteful and practical accomodation - the converted dairy is a triumph of design and a joy to inhabit! Great for nature lovers, birdwatchers and anyone wanting to rest and unwind away from the rat race. Our second visit and can’t wait to stay again.”

Recommended despite some minor imperfections
"We booked a waterview room and the view was true to the website. Room spacious and we got interconnecting as requested. Service was good but the reception seems understaffed. Excellent proximity to the marina for reef trips and many choices of restaurants. facilities well maintained but presentation not superb. The glass panel for the bathtub which does not even shield half the bathtub is a disaster for the floor after a shower and reduced the guest's enjoyment "
