“You should not stay here for more than 1 day. The first day was fine. But it was really bad on the 2nd day. This is a ryokan, but they kept the bedding in my room on the second day They should have resumed it back to living room and made the bed for me at my dinner time. The worst is the dinner on Day 2. Most of the food were already on the table before I arrived, including those sushi (temaki) which the shape was distorted and the seaweed was soft, the raman was soft and cold, the deep fried……

“Excellent stay here! Specially the service from two gentlemen at front desk, they were being helpful and tried to book cab for us (finding cab is headache in Kyoto!), Also they were able to speak English! The hotel is clean generally, you get a free little complimentary snack box daily if you chose no house keeping service during your stay. Very convenient location from hotel to Gion Shijo where u get all the shopping & food and also easy to walk to Kiyomizu-Dera temple (10 mins walk)! Lovely……

“Room is in the morden style but is large enough to put 2 luggages. Have hot water available in the room which you dont need to boil water for hot tea. There are a few hot spring available and all of them are quite spacious and with view. You can enjoy the subrise or sunset if you have hotspring on the top floor. There is shuttle bus pick up from JR to the hotel.”

“Lovely bed-and-breakfast inn, with owner staying at one of the units. Convenient location from the main shopping & restaurant area, and also walkable to subway. Hard to hail taxi outside of the hotel when we need to go to the airport. So the hotel calls taxi for us. We waited for about 10 min before the taxi came, which is ok. The room has tatami floor, which is one of the reasons we chose this inn. Room was warm at night, with a temperature control inside the room that we can adjust &……
