“The cottage was cute and well equipped. At first as we were driving there it seemed so far off the beaten path. As we ventured out the next day to Acadia National park we realized we weren’t that far away. It was about a 45 min drive. We do like to watch a little tv before bed; so, if you want a tv, there is no tv. We listened to our music. It was a little too cold to sit outside to do any star gazing. The view of the sunrise over Cadillac mountain was beautiful!”

“Property was very nice and clean. Just 3 cabins on site so a small establishment. The owner/manger seemed nice. There were pastries etc for breakfast but we had bagels with us which we toasted in the toaster in the cabin and had with some nice hot coffee. The roon was mostly well appointed. The bed was a bit soft for us but others may like it. Best part is you can walk to the lighthouse which makes great sense during sunset times. ”

“We enjoyed our stay very much. If it had been warm enough to enjoy all of our meals outside that would have been wonderful. We didn’t plan or pack for any rain but when it poured for a solid day, we were thankful for the cabin’s shelter and wifi and umbrella when we went out. “Overall the stay was nice. The cabin was clean and had a functional kitchen. However, to check in, we had to call the host directly and have him meet us. We couldn’t get in contact with the host despite multiple attempts and wound up having to wait on site for him to reach out to us to get in. This also made would have made it difficult had we needed anything during our stay. There wasn’t any shampoo or conditioner as there should have been but we wound up purchasing those ourselves to avoid……

“Listing says it’s walkable, but it’s probably a good 20 minute walk and it’s not ideal with kids because of traffic once you get into Acadia. It is a short drive to Jordan pond house though. Our mattress was from 2007 and we did not sleep good at all because of it. Not enough seats for 4 to relax in living room after a long day of hiking either. Very responsive host so that was a positive.”

“Our group had a couple of unfortunate events upon our arrival and exit were all completely smoothed over by Aaron and his team through near instant communication and attention to detail that made our stay the enjoyable and memorable experience it was. The place is 10-15 minutes from Bar Harbor that made easy access to everything. The beds were great and the kitchen had everything we needed. When you have a host willing to go above and beyond, the VRBO vacations are all the better!”
