“The place that we stayed in was cute, it got a bit chilly at night in the front room area, there wasn’t any heat . It was nice and quiet . They originally didn’t give us the cottage that was was advertised online , but when I returned to the front desk and showed them the picture of the cottage we were supposed to have,they did give us that one We enjoyed our stay ”

“We stayed here on a road trip for our wedding anniversary. Location was incredibly romantic, with gorgeous views from the hot tub. The cabin was cozy, comfortable, and well-furnished. The neighborhood is quiet too! I want to share one small complaint—the communication left much to be desired. The property is in a remote location up beautiful, winding mountain roads. “The property was beautiful, well equipped with everything needed and so very pleasant. The outside gardens and deck made it feel all the more spacious. We enjoyed having breakfast out front in the morning and hanging out on the deck in the afternoons. It is a perfect retreat. Vivian was a lovely host. It couldn't have been a more special place. “The only great thing about this listing were the beds. It was next to the main road entering Carmel so it is noisy and the property is actually not a home (this site is called vacation rentals by owners, right?) it is a run down inn. The bathroom has not been renovated in ages and the drain let off a sulphur scent that could be smelled in the bedroom. The description mentions an outdoor terrace but it is just an unappealing space off the parking space.”

Our stay turned out to be during an unusual heat wave, so we wished there had been AC, but perhaps this is usually not a problem in that area. The only not so ideal things were that the exterior patio was quite dirty, the trash barrels were fully covered in cobwebs, wasp nests and spiders.
