“My family had a wonderful stay in this house. Between hiking in the Schoodic Peninsula, visiting Bar Harbor, and soaking up the view from Cadillac Mountain, we loved swinging on the porch swing, having coffee on the front porch, and relaxing around the dinner table. “This house was in a great scenic location in a quiet neighborhood on the water. It was about 40 minutes to Bar Harbor/Acadia, but the scenic location made the distance worth it. The house was generally well-equipped for our needs. Reliable high-speed internet was also a plus. Unfortunately, the house had a pretty bad housefly problem, especially in the upstairs bathroom. “This house was wonderful! Clean, easy to find on GPS, even in the dark when we arrived and a very quiet location. The view was beautiful. We saw deer in the backyard and across the lake. We utilized the fire pit on a cool night and enjoyed s’mores with our family. The small touches were thoughtful-mini bottles of shampoo & conditioner, mini bars of soap, coffee available for the coffee maker. Beds were comfortable as well. If we’re ever back in this area, I would definitely stay here again. ”

“We stayed for several nights and enjoyed our time here. The interior is quite big and there is a lot of open space. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We enjoyed using the popcorn popper as well. Even though there is no forced air heating or cooling, we felt quite comfortable, even with the outside temperature ranging from 40s to 80s. “What a great getaway for our family! Mighty Oaks had everything you could want, from plenty of room to comfortable living area! The kids had fun shooting hoops and kicking around a soccer ball in the yard, while the adults enjoyed a hot tub. The well appointed kitchen was so functional, we cooked in every night. “This beautiful home was our family gathering place for my daughter's wedding in Acadia National Park. It was so wonderful to spend time with everyone in this meticulously renovated home. “Listing says it’s walkable, but it’s probably a good 20 minute walk and it’s not ideal with kids because of traffic once you get into Acadia. It is a short drive to Jordan pond house though.
