“This was our first time on Mount Desert Island. A true discovery! Staying at Nicole’s and Andrew’s farmhouse was wonderful. Tremont is located on the more remote side of the island. So be ready to drive everyday when you want to explore all the hikes. But there are also beautiful hikes close by and our most favorite swimming spot was around the corner. The house is spacious, clean, and equipped with everything you need. The neighbors are friendly and during the nights you can hear the loons.……

“The cottage was cute and well equipped. At first as we were driving there it seemed so far off the beaten path. As we ventured out the next day to Acadia National park we realized we weren’t that far away. It was about a 45 min drive. We do like to watch a little tv before bed; so, if you want a tv, there is no tv. We listened to our music. It was a little too cold to sit outside to do any star gazing. The view of the sunrise over Cadillac mountain was beautiful!”

“This was a captivating setting. If we were to stay there for a few days, it would have been delightful. As it was, we were driving back from Acadia NP. We just weren’t prudent. We were up for indoor camping and maybe even the wood stove, but elected not to stay after arriving after dark…totally our choice. Another time, it would have been PERFECT. ”
