“Gorgeous hotel interior lovely, cozy seating areas with ballroom and good entertainment also large balcony probably best view in Scarborough, bar area also fine, never had to wait long on a lift to rooms. Rooms fine although no one into empty bins in the 3 nights we were there, only strange thing is I booked a standard double room for 2 adults and 1 child but no extra bed only 2 double, they send up a travel cot which was a tad on tight side for a nearly 4 year old but all in all pleasant hotel……

“It ticked all of our boxes for a one night stay. It was clean and smelled fresh and fragrant, it was comfortable and the water was nice and hot. The carpet isn’t very old but the bathroom floor although clean, needs replacing.”

“Another guaranteed lovely stay at the New Southlands. We had a quiet, comfortable room and, although dated, is spotlessly clean, well maintained and with new bedding and towels. The staff are so friendly and genuinely want you to have a lovely stay with them, I would always recommend it if you are visiting Scarborough. “We had a lovely room with superb view. The only downside was the bathroom, although very clean it was small and had shower over bath, we did request a walk in shower at time of booking, both being in our 70’s not very easy to use Dining facilities were excellent, good choice on menu, food very good and staff very friendly and attentive”

“First time we have stayed at the Park Manor ,we really enjoyed short break. The facilities were excellent,everything was sparkling clean and all the staff were very friendly,polite and helpful. Dining room was very nice and the meals excellent,also liked the lounge and games room,we didn’t use pool or hot tub as we had come to watch the cricket, Without doubt the nicest hotel we’ve stay in in Scarborough and hope to visit again soon ”

“A traditional pub with rooms-fabulous food,all the staff are really friendly and welcoming. The room was a decent size with a small but adequate bathroom. Furnished in keeping with the age and style of an old pub but all very clean. My only suggestion for improvement would be to have a larger and more comfortable bed. Breakfast cooked to order which was delicious. Free parking. Bus stop outside to go to either Whitby or Scarborough for £2! Cheaper than town centre parking. The B & B rate is……

“It was a convenient location. It was good to be able to leave the car outside the guest house, and for it to included in the price. My husband and I enjoyed the views from the bedroom window overlooking the bay. However the bedroom was smaller than we expected. The staff and customers were friendly. We expected our 'own' bathroom to be in our bedroom, as opposed to being on the landing next to our bedroom. ”
