Beautiful penthouse apartment in exclusive resort with fantastic pool

The apartment is located in the exclusive, well maintained and popular residential complex Residencia Cala Dorada in the district of Cala Egos the beautiful resort of Cala D'or in the southeast of Mallorca.
The stylishly furnished apartment is located on the top floor of the two-storey building. On a surface of about 100 square meters there is a large, open living-dining area, two bedrooms (a total of 6 beds), two bathrooms, a utility room and a 16sqm terrace.
The open living and dining area with access to the sun terrace has a well-equipped kitchen (stove with ceramic hob, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave), and a dining area for 6 people. The beautifully decorated living area is equipped with an LCD TV with satellite connection for German channels and a DVD player.
The master bedroom with en suite bathroom (bath with shower, two sinks, toilet) has a double bed and a built-in wardrobe. The second bedroom is equipped with a single bed, a loft bed and also a built-in wardrobe. The second bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink. In the utility room is a washing machine.
The large terrace overlooking the pool and the gardens is perfect for enjoying the al fresco dining (1 table, 4 chairs). 2 sun loungers invite you to relax. An awning provides enough shade.
The apartment has hot / cold air conditioning and its own wireless internet connection. The holiday complex, which is equipped with many communal facilities, such as the lobby, in-house bistro / café, sunbeds, table tennis, etc., especially impresses with its pool area with a 50 m long swimming pool, waterfalls, jacuzzi and children's pool as well as a lush, Mediterranean garden landscape. The complex is self-contained and accessible only to residents with a key code, making it particularly popular with families with children. However, its proximity to shops, restaurants, bars and nightclubs makes it just as suitable for couples.
The Residencia Cala Dorada is located in a privileged position just a few meters from the impressive coast and within walking distance of the beaches of Cala Egos and Caló d'es Pou. A short walk of a few minutes leads to the picturesque, exclusive marina of Cala D'Or Marina with numerous restaurants and bars. In the immediate vicinity are the shops for daily shopping (a small supermarket is just across the street from the complex), restaurants, boutiques, pharmacy and much more.

Ferienwohnung mit Mängel in toller Anlage
Wir waren 10 Tage in dieser privaten Anlage. Der Außenbereich mit Pool ist sehr, sehr schön und total gepflegt. Leider kann man das von der Wohnung nicht sagen. Diese ist sehr gut geschnittenen. Bei genauerem Hinschauen haben wir allerdings einige Mängel festgestellt. Der Balkon war total schmutzig und übersäht mit Kiefernnadeln vom angrenzenden Baum. Ebenso schmutzig waren die Balkonmöbel, Tisch hat solche Flecken, die man nicht abwischen kann, Stuhlkissen gehören längst ausgetauscht. Es gab keine Tischdecke oder Platzsets, sodass wir immer nur drinnen gefrühstückt haben. Die Küche ist funktionsfähig, aber das war es dann auch schon. Es gibt nur 3!!! kleine Löffel, obwohl die Wohnung für 6 Personen angeboten wird. Das Geschirr haben wir erstmal komplett in der Spülmaschine gereinigt. Es waren zum Teil noch Gebrauchsspuren vom Vormieter dran. An der Spüle lag ein gebrauchter!!! Spülschwamm, den will man eigentlich nicht gesehen haben. Im Bad waren Toilette Spiegel und Waschbecken gereinigt, aber sämtliche Armaturen sind total verrostet. Auch hier müsste dringend mal eine Sanierung stattfinden. Zum Schlafzimmer: Betten waren frisch bezogen, aber wenn man den Topper anhebt, bekommt man einen Schock. Die Matratze darunter ist komplett eingestaubt! Nach Kontakt mit dem Vermieter waren am nächsten Tag zumindest frische Lappen, Müllbeutel und Schwamm da. Fazit: Für diesen Preis erwartet man als Urlauber deutlich mehr Hygiene in der Ferienwohnung

Der Urlaub war prima. Die Anlage mit kleinem Restaurant und großem Pool hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Küchenausstattung (insbes. Gläser, kleine Löffel, etc.) war für 4 Personen zu knapp.

The property is in a wonderful location - one that we have visited several times, our only issue was with an inoperable toilet with 6 days of our holiday remaining, in one of the bathrooms, which we reported but it wasn't dealt with.

Enjoyable stay
We had a lovely holiday in this apartment as it had everything we needed and was very spacious and comfortable. Although we were a bit disappointed the tv only had German channels, Netflix and tv on demand were an good alternative using the fast WiFi. There wasn’t a beach nearby but the pool was excellent and all facilities were nearby such as restaurants, supermarket. ice cream parlours and ATMs. We took the bus to the market at Santanyi which was worth the 30 mins journey - it had lots of Mallorcan crafts, clothes and food stalls and plenty of cafés. Back in cold England, we wished we could have stayed a little longer enjoying the Mallorcan sun!

A very nice resort with a big pool and magnificent garden. Very well kept.
I stayed at the resort three years ago in an other appartement. Love the big 50m pool with sunbeds, the nice bistro with excellent service and a very nice garden. The appartment matched all of our requirements and it was well equiped. We will definetely come back.

Probably one of nicest apartment complexes in Cala d’Or
We’ve just returned from a two week stay with two older children. We absolutely loved the apartment- it was perfect for us. The aircon was the best we’ve had in any holiday accommodation, the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space. A nice view of the pool but not at all overlooked if we were on the terrace. The grounds are beautiful with plenty of grass, trees for shade and and plants. I much prefer to sunbathe on a grassed area than paved - I don’t know why, it’s just a preference thing. Only small gripe is that quite a lot of the kitchen equipment hadn’t been cleaned properly and the knives for food prep were rusty and blunt but there’s no way that would ruin my holiday. You had to be up earlyish to secure sunbeds as there isn’t necessarily enough for the amount of people staying there. However, it was the absolute height of the season so I imagine in June, September etc that wouldn’t be an issue. We all agreed that we’d happily stay here again. Thank you.

Die Anlage ist top, die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter auch super, sehr freundlich. Einziger „Nachteil“, alles Salzwasser (Pool, Dusche, Wasserhahn usw.) Man hat seine Ruhe, alles sehr gepflegt, es wir immer sauber gemacht. Die Wohnung ist auch sehr schön und gut ausgestattet. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Unterkunft war wie beschrieben und befindet sich in ruhiger, aber zentraler Lage. Ein toller Pool und ein sehr nettes Bistro befinden sich direkt auf dem Gelände. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber verlief sehr angenehm und wir waren sehr dankbar, dass uns so unkompliziert Babybett und Hochstuhl zur Verfügung gestellt wurden.

Apartment was as expected. Two bedrooms and plenty of space for the three of us. It can easily sleep six. Great aircon. Dishwasher didn’t work well but that might be down to the water in the area. We were told that Cala D’Or has the worst water in the island and not to drink it or even drink boiled water. Landlord got us a kettle and other things we asked for with no quibbles. Bedding was old however the cleaner gave us a nice spread. Hopefully the bedding will be upgraded soon. Kitchen was good and allowed us to cook a few evenings in. The air to satellite TV had mainly German channels with a couple of English channels for kids. Nice location close to the square. We hired a car to go to the Marina and further out to other calas with beaches. Best beach for us was Esmeralda about 10mins away in the car. Very close to a Spar supermarket a walk away and Eroski a bit further. Main Cala D’Or and the Marina we’re our favourite places to spend our evenings.
