Casa Colibri is a breathtaking ridgetop home situated near the Santa Fe Opera in northern New Mexico, offering an unparalleled combination of elegance, comfort, and natural beauty. This stunning property features three bedrooms, two and a half baths, and provides panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, including the Sangre de Cristo, Jemez, Ortiz, and Sandia ranges. One of the standout features of Casa Colibri is its hot tub, perfectly positioned to allow guests to relax and take in the star-filled night sky.

Designed by Ralph Gillis AIA, a New York architect with deep ties to Santa Fe's design culture, the home incorporates passive solar elements, making use of natural sunlight for heating and lighting. The interior design, done by Laban Wingert and Jane Adkins ASID, is a masterful blend of style and comfort, ensuring a welcoming and cozy atmosphere throughout.

Each room in the house offers a unique view of the surrounding countryside, providing a constant connection to the stunning natural beauty of the area. The home sits on 2 1/2 acres of natural piñon and juniper trees, with landscaping carefully designed to minimize the need for irrigation. The outdoor covered portal is an inviting space, complete with a traditional kiva fireplace, perfect for relaxing evenings and intimate outdoor gatherings. Located just a short drive from the Santa Fe Opera and the city’s historic Plaza, the home offers the perfect base for exploring the area’s rich artistic heritage, scenic landscapes, and vibrant community.

The home spans approximately 2,400 square feet and is designed for comfort and ease. It includes air conditioning, high-speed internet, a flat-screen TV with DVD player, a fireplace, a washer/dryer, and a security system for added peace of mind. The property also features an outdoor dining area with a fireplace, creating an inviting space for enjoying meals while soaking in the views.

Please note that pet stays must be approved by the homeowner, and a $250 pet stay fee per pet applies.

The beautiful property was a delight in every way. It is a hilltop location with natural beauty and views all around. A well-appointed kitchen and multiple places to dine made every meal a delight. I can't recommend it enough!
