San Luis Obispo Wine Country Hotel with Pool

"It is probably my favorite place to stay in SLO while visiting my student in CalPoly!"

"It's all in the little details! Aside from the modern clean rooms and property, the fresh baked cookies and water in the lobby were a very nice touch. We were surprised to hear that there was a wonderful complimentary breakfast every morning!! That set the tone of each day, just right! Our views from our balcony was so amazing every day. We watched as the staff cleaned up the pool and the cushions from the outdoor furniture every day. Everyone smiled when we passed them. Housekeeping was so kind and courteous as well as front desk staff. The hotel is dog-friendly and the comp treats was a bonus. Everything was almost perfect. The only complaint we have is the AC/fan in the room was very hard to regulate. It would turn off every time we opened our balcony door and that was often. We had to leave the windows open so the room wouldn't get so stuffy but then the noise in the mornings was pretty loud since our room was next to the main walkway to the pool and dining hall. Even at night, we couldn't set AC/fan to kick on properly and we would wake up with 75-76 degree temps. But overall, we love Avila and we love this property!"

"As a parent of a Cal Poly student, I believe that a one-night stay is very affordable and serves this purpose. I came in at 2:30 a.m., but the staff made arrangements for a locked box to pick up a room keycard with pre-arrangement by contacting the hotel staff. It was so easy. The parking is super bright, even at 2:30 a.m., and I felt very safe."

"It was wonderful! Our room was super quite and love the black out curtains! We never get enough sleep and my Husband slept for 11 hours and I slept for 8! Beautiful location and so many things to do! Love the 2 hours of free biking, love the trails behind the rooms and running creek, great food, love the coffee and tea bar in the lobby and Zeph was so welcoming and accommodating with all his suggestions of where to eat, plant nurseries and pleasant uplifting attitude! That's so hard to find these days! He is definitely a keeper!!!!"
