The hotel and amenities were very nice and exactly what I hoped for in most respects, but there were a few issues. First, when we arrived for the first booked night, we were told that--because of renovations--they didn't have a room for us that night. They had not tried to contact us earlier to let us know. We only learned this when we walked up to the desk to check in. They did provide us with a room at a nearby hotel and transportation to and from that hotel, but it wasn't the same quality. They did also give us a credit on our bill as well as telling Expedia to refund us for the one night, but still the lack of any forewarning was very surprising and inconvenient. Second, we were surprised that housekeeping often didn't make it to our room until after 4:00 p.m. (when we usually like to take a nap). And third, as other reviewers have said, on Friday and Saturday night we could hear the bass and drums of the music in their nightclub until 4 a.m. Not great for our sleep. All that said, the staff at the front desk, restaurants, and on the beach were all very friendly and helpful. I'd consider staying there again on a weeknight.
