“This is a beautiful place. After a week of travelling around Costa Rica, this was a quiet and restful place to prepare for our trip home. The birds and butterflies were very busy in the morning, and the view is very beautiful. It is located less than one hour from the San Jose airport, and the town of San Ramon has many options for dining. The hosts were excellent, and a delicious typical Costa Rican breakfast was provided, including perfect gallo pinto. I highly recommend Casa Amanecer.”

“Our room was very spacious and on the first floor. We even had a balcony at the other end of the room. The pool was small and a disabled person in our party could not get in it because there were no handrails. The setting was up in the mountains north of Alajuela and the air was fresh at night. We will return to this hotel because it is not far from the airport.”

“For our second week in Costa Rica, we chose this home in Atenas. The photos do not do it justice- it is such a wonderful and relaxing retreat. The private pool and outdoor shower allowed a connection no nature. Hammock and hanging chairs, lush landscaping, toucans…. Just too much to mention. We will return to this special place. Lizz did massages on the breezeway our last day to the sound of rain and the birds. Communication was excellent.”
