“I loved this place. I’ve stayed at a lot of cabins throughout the Appalachians. This one is very rare in actually being located deep in the woods, providing a ton of privacy and beautiful nature. The cabin itself is on a private driveway and backed up against secluded woods. It’s also decorated very well. We loved the first and second floor balconies allowing you to sit outside and read and relax, not to mention the hammock. I would give the owner feedback more than 5 stars if I could. They left……

“We can't say enough about our host, Molly (and her husband)! We came down to the area just after Hurricane Helene and had to navigate a few storm related issues but it was no big deal and Molly made it easy. The house is adorable and well appointed. The area is beautiful, close to great hiking & biking. Truly enjoyed our time and hope to be back soon! ”

“The house was nicely decorated. Fairly clean. Kitchen needs a few more pots. Only one there Close to many bike rentals. We did the trail both directions. Once with rented bikes and the other direction with our own bikes. Check your rental bikes closely. One of the bikes had a warped wheel with loose spokes. Damascus is a beautiful taunt town with many friendly people. We had a good time. ”

“I am an avid fisherman and the weekend forecast for Lake Holston October 11-13th was awesome - I booked this last minute and could not be happier ! The home is everything you see with an expansive view down the hill from the rear porch to a wooded area. Minutes from Painter Creek Marina. And I am now a Nespresso fan !”

“The house was lovely. Had everything we needed as advertised. Unfortunately, the town of Damascus was devastated by a flood due to Hurricane Helene. We lost power about 9:40am on 9/27. Also, lost water around the same time. We had to evacuate around 5:30pm on 9/27. We apologize for not being able to wash the dishes or complete some of the other check out procedures due to the circumstances. We are devastated for the community of Damascus as they have suffered catastrophic damage in town. Luckily……

“My wife and I are considering moving to SW Virginia and have spent increasingly more time there. We loved the location of the Blue House as well as the house itself. Tastefully and thoughtfully decorated, open and spacious. Abbey and Ron have done a fantastic job on the house and are gracious hosts. Check in and check out were simpler than any hotel. It made for a perfect launch pad for us to hike several times in the area as well as ride the Creeper Trail. A block off the main street, quiet but……

“Absolutely loved this cottage and our stay in Damascus. House was perfectly clean and well stocked. Communication with Ron and check-in/check-out was so smooth. Location was perfect for town and trails. Would absolutely stay here again and I highly recommend it. ”
