The staff member that checked us in was absolutely phenomenal. She went above and beyond to make everything better.
What I do have a problem is whoever clean that room did not clean it to standard that I would expect a hotel, especially from a Hilton to be cleaned. The night prior I stayed in Portland at a Doubletree Hilton and it was absolutely phenomenal.
Staying at a Doubletree Hilton in Salem/Kaiser was absolutely not ideal and I was not impressed. One thing that was an issue as I have never checked into a hotel and went up to my room and found the door jar and not secure, that raises safety concerns. The second is when I went into the room. There was an inflatable air mattress that was filled up in the corner like someone had used it. There no bedding on it, but it was just laying in there filled. Third was, I walked into a the room with a TV blaring with Bluey on the TV screen with no remote to be found. Later I did find the remote after searching the room and it was behind the bed headboard on the floor and the remote still did not work to turn off the TV. fourth, I came back into the room after we had gone and got dinner and went to go sit at the couch and the table in front of the couch was dirty and not clean.
The rest of the hotel room was clean. The sheets were clean. The shower was clean. The toilet is clean and the sink, but what I have an issue with is listed above. I told the receptionist at the front desk and she comped our breakfast.
