“Nice central location. But the windows are very thin and not insulated. That means you will hear every motorcycle rev, car, truck, and conversation. Especially after they get out of the bar that is right on the corner. I suppose if your room was facing the opposite side of the main street you should be good but if not, good luck getting sleep. Also, the blinds were a pain to open and close, be prepared to get your hands get roughed up.”

“We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is quiet and has a great vibe. It’s a good 15min walk to the main center of city but is a pleasant walk. Met all our needs. Comfortable bed, clean, cute themed room and most importantly it was quiet.”

“The room was great- exactly as described. The gentleman owner was kind - lived on the premises and spent a lot of our stay mowing the lawn and working in the gardens. Would be a bit uncomfortable for femme people traveling alone, but a good set up for people looking for conversation or company. ”

“Adorable property in a great location! We were able to walk everywhere in downtown Salem. The staff was great and breakfast was good. Unique place to stay that matches the vibe of Salem itself. Very quiet place and I slept better than I have in a long time. Also got to relax with a bath in the claw-foot tub. AMAZING! Highly recommend this property!”

“Excellent location, easy self-checkin, responsive offsite staff. The room was cozy, clean, and included everything I needed. The only issue was noise - I could hear the people who checked-in above me from 5 pm till they finally went to bed a little after midnight. People seem oblivious to how easily impact noise travels in old NE construction. My room was also overlooking the parking lot and noise carried up easily from that.”

“Very nice experience. All the staff was on point, specially the Dominican lady in the breakfast area. Didn’t feel overcharged for the breakfast either. I would only complain about how clear the noise from the parking lot outside felt in my room .”

“This is a very budget motel. I was only staying one night, but there was no dresser or closet or even a shelf, if I wanted to unpack anything from my bag; just two hooks on the wall over the table. The motel had a very dingy feel to it-- not dirty, per se, but dingy. Stains on the ceiling, cigarette burn in the blanket. No tissue box. The toilet tissue wasn't folded over like I usually see in hotels to indicate the room had been cleaned, so I could only hope that it had been. Additionally, the……
