"the location is stunning the host is very nice and responsive but unfortunately the property has not been cleaned prior to our arival it was dusty, sticky and the toiled smelled of wee. We where very disappointed. We do travel a lot as a family and I have seen a number of properties. This one needs a deep clean . It has been advertised for a family but the indoor dining table is way to small like the water cooker for a family of 5 (and my kids are still small). I would have loved to rate it...

"The property met our needs, but there were some things that could have been better. On the upside, because we had young children along, the pool was a bonus. The donkeys, goats, chickens, and roosters were enchanting. On the downside, if someone wants to be close to the surrounding cities (Tours/Amboise) with pubs and restaurants, this is not the place. Also, the place needs some TLC and a good scrubbing."

"This really is rural. It is in the middle of a forest down an unmade road 2 km to nearest village. It is a beautiful location. Host are generous and welcoming. We heard so many birds including owls and saw bats, and deer locally whilst visiting. The pool was a treat in the hot weather ( unheated for the strong hearted!) Situated in a lovely garden. "Very clean but room by road noisy. Fantasy forest to walk dog, however when checked in asked for 5 e extra each pet, cat and dog making 10e already expensive for a budget et lol. Television suddenly came on and there was no remote, reported in morning who said there should have been one! Food places in fridge. Friendly staff easy check in "

"The room was beautiful and amazing, perfect for a family of four or five. The dining option was alright and convenient if one does not want to leave the hotel but for the price paid, the food was nothing outstanding and the service was slow. The breakfast option was great although we were given false information by the receptionist that it was included in our booking so during checkout I was unpleasantly surprised with the extra amount. We had to ask for soap in the room as both the bottles in the shower and sink were empty. The door of the toilet could not be closed as there were these metal hangers on it. There wsa a rusty roller table by the sink that did not match the rest of the furniture. Overall, a good night's stay after visiting the nearby castle but maintenance is definitely needed."
