Our stay was a very mixed experience. There were a number of things that were quite good, including a very clean room with a comfortable king-size bed. And this was all at a fairly low price.
But there were also a number of issues that came up while we were there. First, we had a loud family yelling outside the rooms in the evening (after dark, but not while we were sleeping) which went on without interruption from staff (it was loud enough that they should have been aware of it).
Then there was also the fact that we specifically searched for a hotel with a hot tub, only to be told that it was out of service for the season. This rationale makes sense to me for places with subfreezing temperatures, but no Sacramento, and especially not while the pool itself remains open.
There was also the issue of the breakfast, with a pastry bin that had no bagels, pastries, or muffins, but solely bread, while a sign suggested that at this buffet we should take only one plate of hot food. When you advertise a buffet breakfast, and people book based on that (this was our other search criteria), that isn't really acceptable.
Lastly, there's the issue of a tub that was overly slick. For the first time in my 53 years of life, I fell in the shower there due to a completely flat and slick tub. Fortunately I avoided any real injury, but I can't help but wonder how many others would have been seriously hurt.
Overall, as much as I hate to say it, I would recommend that people go elsewhere
