“This house was great for what we needed (group of girlfriends getting together). We loved the sunroom on the first floor and even got to sit outside in the gorgeous garden. The location is perfect and there is heaps of space. My only comment is that the bathrooms probably need a bit of updating, but apart from that would definitely recommend.”

“We booked Mary's wonderful house for a weekend away in December for a catch up with old friends (12 of us in total). We had an amazing time and really recommend the house. It has lots of character from being an old pub called The Star and the rooms were really comfy with almost all of them having their own ensuite bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious for cooking even for 12 people and we loved the fireplace and piano in the main living room. We didn't get out much due to storms……

“We had booked a boat on the Thames for my 50th birthday for bank holiday weekend.. two days before we were due to leave it was cancelled due to the rivers being on red alert. Having spent months planning it we didn’t know what to do instead. We feel incredibly lucky to have found Le Chateaux was available. Communication was great, checkin was easy as we were met and handed keys. The house was clean, tidy and welcoming with local wine left for us. We had the most relaxing stay and really enjoyed……

The location was great for trips further afield too! We loved the pubs and food and added another memorable holiday of family autumn breaks. ”

“The property is spacious and has lovely views. The location is quiet with plenty to do within a short drive. Communication with the host was disappointing as no messages were answered and there is no BBQ on site, despite it being listed in the property details. Something to be aware of for future guests-the floorboards are extremely noisy and all movement can be heard throughout the house.”
