We enjoyed our visit. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and cookware to cook our Thanksgiving dinner, (Rice cooker, coffee machine, crock pot, beaters, cookie sheets, 9x13 pan). The pantry had basics like flour, spices, oil, oatmeal etc. All new appliances! We were glad we could fit 8 people at the kitchen table.
The bathrooms had everything we needed: hair dryers, shampoo, soap, cotton swabs, air freshener, and cups. The hot water came out of the faucet instantly. Our large family never ran out of hot water after back to back showers.
The basement had board games and full laundry. The tv upstairs and down were wonderful size and we could watch two shows at once without noise interruption from upstairs to down.
The beds were all memory foam mattresses. Plenty of pillows and blankets, which was nice in the winter. The walls are thin, so not much noise privacy between bedrooms. It has new bedding and decor which is nice.
The only down sides were that the listing said there was a hot tub, but there is not one. We were really disappointed because that was one reason we booked Ray’s place. The windows on the house are drafty, and let in a lot of winter air and noise from the street traffic.
We would stay here again. The owner has done a great job at updating the house and providing all of the comforts of home for travelers. It is a wonderful find. We hope to come again during the summer time as it is really close to Lagoon Amusement park.
