Excellent, cost effective place to stay in Rovaniemi. This was a fraction of the cost of staying near Santa Claus Village, and only a 10-15 minute drive away. We have a 6 year old and this place was just perfect for us. It was great having a water park, bowling alley, and kids play area all in the same building, and we loved being able to head right outside for cross country skiing. Plus we really liked the grill restaurant for a cheap but crowd pleasing dinner. Couldn’t recommend this enough for families!

We stayed at two different hotels; Santasport was the better hotel. Rooms are clean. There is a mini fridge and microwave with plates and utensils. We would stay here again. The other hotel we stayed at was Hotel Aakenus. I would stay away from that hotel. Old and was more expensive.

This is a former Olympic training center now used by local youth as a full time training facility so there's a LOT of kids and families staying here but everyone was polite and well behaved. There was no nonsense. There are two food facilities on site - a snack bar that has sandwiches, burgers and snacks and the cafeteria used to feed the athletes and provide the free breakfast. Both were very good. I highly recommend the in-room sauna rooms if you can get them. Note this is an easy to get to place from the airport but there is nothing within walking distance. Beds are very comfortable but there's no way to turn up the heat in the rooms. TV is very limited. You'll be Uber'ing to town and every where else from here. But thats not a deal braker. it was a good place to stay.

Great stay at Santasport Spa.
Delighful 3 day stay with our daughter & 2 grand children aged 2 & 13. There were fun activities for both. The pool and its various spa pools for both and the kids fun activity room for the youngest. We all enjoyed great breakfadts each morning. Santasport was a short drive from the places we wanted to visit.

I recently stayed with two friends at Santasport Resort Hotel and we were impressed by its peaceful location and the kindness of the staff. Despite being away from the hustle and bustle, there are plenty of leisure activities to enjoy—both indoors and outdoors —which make it a great choice for families or a group of friends or anyone looking to stay active. It never gets boring. While the accommodation was comfortable and the service top-notch, the breakfast was unfortunately a letdown. It lacked quality and didn’t meet the same high standard as the rest of the hotel’s offerings. Overall, though, if you’re seeking a relaxing getaway with friendly staff and lots to do, this hotel is well worth considering—just be aware that breakfast might not be the highlight of your stay.

It was a nice stay. The hotel had all amenities - restaurants, indoor swimming, indoor funpark for kids; helps with the -15degC temperature outside! Comfortable rooms and friendly staffs, food was nice. Definitely would come again with the family.

Great Stay
Had a brilliant stay. The location is amazing with a nature trail across the road for sledging/walking. The hotel had lots going on for the children. Breakfast was good. Beds could have been more comfortable, and a bit more choice of food in the restaurant in the evening. Would go back :)
