“We have stayed many incredible and beautiful places all over the world. Te Karaka Lodge is completely in a class by itself! Everything and everyone in this place is superb. There is not one little detail which is not lovingly cared for by the staff. It is a gorgeous place in gorgeous surroundings. There were 4 of us and we were very sad not to be able to book a second night. Dinner was indescribable. Every presentation rivaled a masterpiece painting. We have many pictures of both……

“This was our absolutely favorite place to stay out of a two week trip visiting six different areas of NZ. The building has a wonderful and unique history and is thoughtfully decorated with fun artwork. The views are absolutely stunning from the apartment and the location is perfect. The drive into downtown was less than five minutes. Totally walkable as well. For the times we didn’t feel like going even that far there were a couple of cool shops and restaurants right next door. “Beautiful scenery over to the Waikato hills. Alpacas on the doorstep greeting you among the other animals on the property. The owner was accommodating, very friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay as fantastic as possible. He gave awesome tips about places to visit including the Nikau cave! The accommodation was very clean and tidy, and everything you could need was made available. I Would 100% recommend staying here and would love to again in the future.”

“Dated property but still lovely. TV user instructions were wrong, no info re ANYTHING. Located the wifi router the afternoon before we left. No rubbish bags, Hoover hadn't been emptied, small things that are easily addressed. Would still recommend 👍”

“A great place to stay - lovely accommodation with an interesting history. Great views, handy to town as well as local shops and dining options around the wharf - especially if you like fish and chips! ”

“Thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunrise from the main bedroom, then a cuppa tea on the deck sitting in the sun. Later on in evening relaxing on the balcony, watching the sunset, having a drink of wine. Doesn’t get any better. Very comfortable accommodation.”

“Great accommodation. Really comfy. Raglan wharf has a lot to offer - kai, coffee, fishing, lovely views. Amazingly Orca cruised through the bay and there was an even a spoonbill on the mud flats. Bit of noise from unit above, otherwise perfect for a couple of nights away.”
