They claim to be a luxury hotel. But they confuse luxury and expensive. It’s clean, it’new and the hotel is well located on a nice landscaped environment. That’s it. They don’t have a rare, a unique or an outstanding offer. They just charge you more money for the same stuff you get in other hotels nearby. $30 US (plus taxes, plus mandatory tips) for breakfast per person. Whether you take an omelette or a bowl of cereals. Don’t ask them for a cab to go downtown or at the airport. A luxury hotel that refuses to call a taxi for their guests! I’ve travelled the world and never saw that. The only vehicle they accept is their shuttle, which is almost double the price of a taxi. And jammed packed with hotel guests. Service on the beach is uncertain (as is getting a chair), just like in any « all included » hotel around. The only difference here is you pay. A lot. A local beer (free in other hotels) is $5 US tips taxes…like $6,50 US. Their staff is friendly and noisy, just like in any other hotels around. But they cost more, they have all sorts of hidden fees that get on your bill…for whatever reasons… So, yes, nice looking new hotel in West Bay. But same food, same beer, same service (except for refusing to call a cab) for a lot more money. Not luxury. Just expensive.
