“Pros: We liked the location and helpful staff at The Rubenstein, and David made us some great drinks at the lobby bar while giving us tips on what to do and see. Cons: The room needed blackout shades; we could almost read by the ambient street light. There was lots of street noise (to be expected; Nola is a city) so be sure to pack your earplugs. We stayed for 4 nights and would have appreciated more surfaces or drawers to unpack and settle in. The room was surprisingly spare and we lived out……

“This hotel has a lot of charm. It’s walking distance to the French Quarter. The room has a homey brick walled table and fireplace area before entering the bedroom The bedroom is a bit cramped, and not much sink room in the bathroom. The rooms surround a really nice courtyard and pool so the N Rampart street noise was blocked. My only complaint - the front desk guy always made it clear in a nonverbal manner he has better things to do than take care of your needs or questions. At one point he……
