「Staff very friendly and helpful, peaceful setting, wonderful views from room, dining area and the pool, which was great! Place in ceiling where there has been a leak needs to be addressed due to what appears to be mold, but overall this was a wonderful restorative stay and we hope to return!」

「After a very long day in shuttles from Puerto Viejo, Gilberto was a very gracious, friendly and welcoming host. He quickly got us into our room and albeit "Happy Hour" was over, he set us up with a couple beverages and let us get settled. Our room had all the amenities we needed with a nice balcony and view of the tropical gardens. 「Chef Fran was truly a fantastic cook. The meals were the best we had all of our two weeks of travel in Costa Rica. The location was beautiful and so was the architecture. We felt a bit constrained by the three meals being included in the price of our room. Other than that, everything about the hotel was phenomenal.」

「We loved the nature around Trogon Lodge. The landscaping was amazing, and my son loved watching the trout in the pond. We loved all the birds and the hiking trails. The grounds of Trogon Lodge were so lush and beautiful, and photos cannot capture their enchanting beauty. For people with mobility issues, be aware that the lodge is a steep slope and could be difficult for some. Also, it is advisable to pack wisely so you don't bring unnecessary luggage up to the room, as it is a trek carrying it. 」

「The room was very nice and clean. I appreciated the hosts’ work to make it an enjoyable stay. The howler monkeys hooting at 5:30 am made sure I didn’t sleep in for my 7 am start at Costa Rica Dive and Surf. It was a pleasant stay. 」
