Blue Lake Cozy Cabin, situated on 3 acres, 5 min walk to lake! Mountain views!

Wonderful cozy wood cabin, we call Blue Lake Cabin on over a 3 acre wooded lot at the Preserve in Johnson's Creek on the southwest side of Lookout Mountain in Rising Fawn, GA. We are just 35 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, but located in the mountains in a quiet retreat!

This wonderful cabin is at Lookout Mountain in a 2800 acres Preserve! Renting the cabin gives you access to multiple fishing lakes that back up to Johnson Lake. There are miles of hiking possibilities and creeks to explore. We are 35 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, the Tennessee Aquarium, Rock City and Ruby Falls. We are 15 minutes from the famous Canyon Grill restaurant and Cloud land Canyon State Park and many more outdoor activities! We are 20 minutes from Mentone. We are a hour away from the Sequatchie River in Dunlap, GA where you can canoe in the river. There is also a fun drive-in theatre in Trenton, GA just 15 minutes away!

The cabin has beautiful mountain and lake views at the Preserve. This1200 sq ft, one level cabin on over 3 acres has full length front and back covered porches. The porches are a prefect place for relaxing in cedar chairs and love seat! This cabin sleeps up to 6 people, with 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths and a queen pull out sofa in the living room.

There front bedroom has a full size bed and is located just off the living room. The Master bedroom has a king size bed and half bathroom. The full bathroom is in the hall from the living room to master bathroom. The dining table is just off the living room and the full kitchen is well stocked and looks out into the beautiful back yard with the Blue Lake and mountains in view! There is a full washer and dryer as well! There is also a flat screen TV (40") with fiber optic cable and Blue Ray player in the living room. There is a TV in the master bedroom as well. A gas Weber grill is also provided for your use. Fiber optic internet is available.

Fishing is allowed on any of the 4 lakes within the Preserve. Just bring your own fishing supplies. Horseback riding is available from a nearby equestrian center. We
will be happy to provide further information if you are interested.

A full price cleaning fee ($60) is charged for less than 3 nights.

Highly Recommend
Enjoyed the stay in this cute, clean cabin. The only complaint is the directions to the cabin for those who are checking in late (after dark) were hard to follow. Otherwise, great place to stay. Highly recommend!

Perfect nature hideaway for Father/Daughter time
Wow! A little off the beaten path, this was a gem in the Georgia wilderness! House was immaculate, had everything you could need and the location couldn’t be beat! Beautiful views, several pond/ lakes filled with fish, gorgeous scenery, Sophia was communicative and made the entire process easy. Offered some suggestions for activities( we opted for the drive in theater, eat before you go) and provided everything we could have thought to ask for. The whole preserve is rustic wilderness, complete with some gravel country roads and the charming cabin with beautiful details fit right in. We will definitely be back. Can’t recommend this enough!

We had a great time at your cabin. I love the area .the cabin was so clean and very well stocked . But the only problem was the water pressure wouldn't allow me to get a shower. Other than that everything was great.

Nice stay close to state park
Nice place, clean and convenient to Cloudland Canyon S.P. and caves in area. Cabin had most things needed in the kitchen and the laundry was super convenient. Owners were easy to work with and no surprises with the rental.

Beautiful cabin, accurate listing.
My family had a wonderful stay in this cabin. The cabin was spotlessly clean, kitchen well stocked and beds comfortable. Please visit Cloudland State Park during your stay. Gorgeous park with hiking trails and beautiful scenery.

Cozy mountain home
Overall this place was great for our family of 4. The kids enjoyed seeing fireflies at night, playing in the yard and exploring the surrounding area. The house was cozy and had all things needed for cooking and cleaning. Beds were comfortable. Only gave 4 stars on cleanliness bc of outdoor area wasn’t wiped down everything else was fine. Would definitely come back and stay. Was easy to get to and 20-30 to rock city and ruby falls.

We enjoyed our get away to this part of Georgia. The area was beautiful, quiet and remote and had easy access to Chattanooga and great restaurants. We enjoyed walking down the road some and were able to see some wildlife. But we were disappointed as the cabin looked different from the pictures. Although the inside was clean and nicely decorated the linens and kitchen towels needed refreshing. Outside porches were dirty and unkempt. The shower was a trickle and did not work properly. I would inquire about updates prior to booking if considering this property.

Holiday Haven
From the moment we walked in, this little cabin in the woods enchanted our family of five. We checked in the day after Christmas and the owners had decorated it for the winter holidays; with plaid plates, a fir tree and other cute details. There was a spot for everything in the house and the size was a good fit, especially because the spacious property and fire pit area gave us plenty of space to play and enjoy the scenery. The drive to Chattanooga - the Lookout Mountain tourist spots and downtown eats - was easy and uncomplicated. Also, these Southern city kids got to see deer and snow!

Did not want to leave!
Couldn't thank Sheila enough for letting us cancel last year's trip to unexpected emergency with my son and rebooking for this year. The cabin is in perfect location for the best view of the mountains. The preserve is gorgeous with so many things to explore and a 360 panaramic view of mountains. Please ask for information on the caves nearby. Be sure to wake up early and see all the deer and turkeys. Next time I come I will be bringing groceries to cook so I never need to leave. The cabin has everything plus more for your needs. There is internet but I wouldn't recommend. I'd rather disconnect and soak it all in. My family and I visited Cloudland Canyon and the Enchanted Christmas lights at Rock City. Be sure to bring a fishing pole, if your a fisherman. You will love it! The master bedroom is huge with plenty of space and the decor was perfect. The outside furniture is very nice. I sure hope everyone enjoys it as much as we was able too.

Cute Cottage
The cabin is actually very nice however we did have issues with the door unlocking and locking. The hall bathroom toilet did not flush the 4 days we were there. The house was “clean” but the shower floor was dirty, there was long black hair all over the shower walls (we are all blonde), the master half bath sink refused to drain and the faucet sprayed water everywhere. The kitchen had food crumbs all over the sink side and the drying cloth. The coffee pot had dust all over the top of it and was hard to close. The pots and pans were all dirty and had left over food burnt into the pots. There was a basket of dirty clothes in the laundry room. The master closet was not usable for hanging long dresses because it was stack three feet high with pillows and blankets. The fridge had used old food in it. The view is not what is shown in the pictures. It’s not close to the lake and there are no horses and no barn to view. I don’t normally write reviews but I will say, I was disappointed in the cleaning before we got there. There is absolutely no WiFi and cell service is very spotty. But they did thankfully have dish. I did reach out to someone named Shelia to let them know that the toilet wouldn’t flush and I was told that a plumber probably wouldn’t make it out on a Sunday. However I did tell her not to worry about it until after we left because we were gone from The house all day. I would have preferred to have been there since we did have our tablets and laptops there. There was no apology or sorry that happened.

Beautiful cabin
The cabin is beautiful. The scenery and location are both wonderful. It is secluded but still pretty close to Chattanooga. I do have to say there was very spotty cell service, no internet, and the satellite tv did not work. Other than that, it was a very nice experience. Sheila responded very quickly whenever we had an issue. It was very clean, and the beds were comfy.

Peaceful
We had an absolutely peaceful and beautiful time. The cabin was so cozy and beautiful. There was no wifi which was a good and a bad thing, good because we got to spend quality time together playing board games and talking but bad because we were trying to look up attractions and stores or make phone calls to family and it wouldnt go through. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend and come back on the future.
