“An overnight stay out of school holidays so very quiet. A large well equipped unit. Friendly and helpful staff. Veranda with bush views and nice walks around the property. Close to town and the beach but the sign is hard to see in the dark. If are a light sleeper and leave the heating on, you may be woken by what sounds like a truck at 5:30 am. It is just the cooling unit right outside the bedroom window so remember to turn it off!”

“Nice accomodation recently refurbished. Aircon would be a nice addition but room I stayed in had balcony which I left doors open overnight, with cool breeze. Food offering downstairs is good but there are other options very close by. ”

“This place was exactly what we needed for our long weekend getaway. With our son’s representative soccer games in Merimbula and needing pet-friendly accommodation at short notice, I thought finding a suitable place would be a challenge. But then we found this gem and booked right away! The location was perfect—just far enough to feel like a special retreat but close enough to easily reach the soccer grounds. “Clean comfortable Cabin. Beds were good. We were able to cook a leg of lamb with roast vegies and cook green vegies. Really appreciated the cooking facilities. The gum trees at the back were beautiful and there was a lovely aroma from them.”

“The hosts were very welcoming. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Provisions provided were more than enough. The location was in a lovely wooded area with colourful birds. You could breathe in the lovely smell of the different trees and the stars at night were amazing. I enjoyed some nice walks and next time would like to walk down to the stream. With many thanks and regards ”

“Our family of 2 adults 2 kids and dog loved our stay at Kangarutha cottage in Kalaru. The cottage is well maintained and fully equipped with everything you will need. Kids loved riding their bikes and playing tennis on the tennis court. The beds were comfy and the location is peaceful and quiet. Gorgeous gardens and lots of wildlife. Great location 5 mins drive to Tathra, 15 mins to Bega. We look forward to staying again.”
