“I had not stayed in this area before. I normally just continue on to Terre Haute when visiting family. However since I had time, I decided to try to find the cemetery where my 3rd Gr-Grandparents are buried and this was the perfect spot to start from.
My room was clean, bed firm and comfortable, TV very nice and a large selection of channels, WiFi available, several restaurants close.
The front desk staff was very accomodating, helpful, kind and courteous.

“This property is a real gem and I commend the owners for recognizing the potential and for saving a piece of the community’s history! The quirky-ness makes this a really fun getaway and makes you feel like a kid again! Me and my sister (both 50+) took advantage of the facility each evening of our stay. We played HORSE on the basketball court, played ping pong and air hockey and watched several of the movies provided. It was also just cool to explore the school although a little spooky at times……

“Absolutely stunning property that will not dissapoint, love historical building and small town vibes and this had both going on, everything was great and the cat who greeted us when we arrived and hung out with us when using the Spa that evening was even more of a special moment, already planning on coming again when we have more time to spend. Nice little restaurant Ricky's Pancake House right in Jamestown to grab a quick bite to eat, nothing fancy but great portions price and service. 5 Star……

“This was a fantastic place to stay. We were in town for a concert and there was plenty of room for 3 adults and a teen. This property is beautiful. We loved feeding the ducks!! It’s very quiet there also. The inside of the home is dated but didn’t bother us a bit!! It was very cozy and welcoming. ”

“We spent most of our time hiking, but this cabin was very nice. It would definitely be good for a family with all the outdoor space, games, etc. Check in and communication were great, and the location to Shades State park can’t be beat. We will definitely stay again if back in this area.”

“I booked this property for the groomsman party of my friend’s wedding and it was great. There was plenty of space for us all to be comfortable and get ready for the wedding. The wedding venue, Owl Ridge, was only 5 minutes away. A coffee shop was also in walking distance.
Communication with the host was very efficient and simple. It was a great weekend”

“There was no Cable, or WIFI as stated in the listing. There was not running water as stated in the listing. The heating/AC unit was very poor and did not keep the house warm. There was dog hair all over the place, yet the listing stated pet free. There were leaks on the walls with brown streaks running down the walls that had not been tended to. The linens smelled as if they had not been washed. There were dead bugs all over the walls and windows in the bathroom. The bathroom and bedroom windows……

“My husband and I and our son and his wife were in town for a wedding. We were so glad to find a property close to the wedding venue (believe me - there aren’t many). As soon as we walked in the door, we knew we loved it! The decor is simple and clean. Everything was in order, very neat, and the place is bright and airy. Plush bedding, soft blankets, comfortable furniture. It’s just very homey. We walked around the massive yard and found a creek running through it. Lori, the host, is so friendly……
