Located just steps from the water, this 2-bedroom, 1-bath cottage makes an ideal home base for nature lovers and water sports enthusiasts alike. Bring your boat, snowmobile, jet ski, or side-by-side for endless adventures, take the provided kayaks out on the water, or explore Roscommon State Forest Area. When the sun sets on a day's activities, retreat to the cozy interior for a home-cooked meal and unwind by watching the Smart TVs.

Right on the water!
This is a cozy cabin, right on the lake. It was perfect for what we needed. Easy communications with the Host, she was very nice and accommodating. It was a great visit to Michigan and this cabin was a perfect "home base".

Beautiful Cottage
We had an amazing time at the cottage, it was very clean and well taken care of. We appreciated the small touches such as snacks, coffee and a bag of ice that was in the freezer. The decorations were beautiful and made the place feel very cozy. Bedding and mattresses very comfortable as well. We would definitely stay there again. Thank You

Lovely little place that couldn't be closer to the water! It was very clean and nicely equipped. The outdoor patio was great and we enjoyed the kayaks that were provided. Nicely decorated, too. Bedrooms and bathroom are small and we were a little tight with 5 adults, but all in all it was very nice.

Perfect little cottage!
Very clean and well appointed cottage. Smart use and design of a smaller space where our family of five felt very comfortable! The decor was very inviting and comfortable. Amenities were great and we very much enjoyed our stay!

A wonderful cottage
This charming cottage was perfect for myself and 2 friends. The weather eas rainy but cleared for beautiful sunsets. We even saw Northern lights. If the temperatures were warmer we would of kayaked. We had fun playing games, doing puzzles and takjng a day trip to Alpena. I would rent this cottage again when the weather is warmer to kayak and play in the lake.

Winter Weekend getaway
My husband and I work from home and were wanting a weekend getaway. We had no idea where we wanted to go or do. We came across this cottage and booked it right away. It did not disappoint. Absolutely gorgeous location. Home is completely updated. When we walked in, we were struck by the fresh scent and cool decor. Host was welcoming via text. Highly recommend, when we come back to Houghton Lake, we will stay here again.

Sister reconnect time!
Perfect, peaceful, clean, bright! So close to the water the living room felt like a sunporch! Owner thought of every little thing to make this cottage feel like home. Very generous snack tray, coffee, filters, baggies and such all supplied. Beds comfortable, we slept like rocks. Started the morning on the porch and ended the day in the same spot. Wonderful walking area to look at all cute well maintained cottages. Just what we needed and couldn't be more grateful!

Perfect Weekend Getaway
The cottage was so cute and exactly what we were looking for. The lake is literally steps from the back door, which my husband loved since he spent Saturday on the lake, ice-fishing. There are tons of great little restaurants and bars close by, as well. We had a fabulous time, and we’ll definitely be back!
