2 Bdrm Mountaintop Escape with the Best Sunset View & Pet Friendly

Set upon 22 acres, Oak Ridge is a cozy 2 bed/1 bath with a wood burning fireplace, full kitchen, and a deck with the BEST Mountain Views.

Only 17 minutes from Windham and 30 minutes from Hunter, you can be close enough to town to enjoy the lively bars, restaurants, and shopping while still far enough away to return home to 22 acres of peaceful nature, incredible valley views, and gorgeous sunsets. The best of both worlds.

The space
This retro-chic cabin is the perfect ski chalet. Both bedrooms have queen sized beds and the living room couch can be converted into a futon should a 5th guest like to stay for a small fee. Please message us if you would like to bring a 5th guest so that they can be observed and prepared for. The bedrooms are made up with soft linens. The bathroom has a tub/shower and includes all modern amenities to ensure relaxation.

The kitchen is very spacious and has all necessities for cooking.

The house has a large back deck for guests to sit and take in the amazing sunsets. Stargaze while roasting s'mores at the fire pit or preparing a home cooked meal on the charcoal BBQ.

Foyer is the perfect location for dropping off your ski gear after a day on the slopes during the winter months!

We allow pets, just let us know!

Guest access
There is space for 2 cars to park right in front of the house on the driveway.

Other things to note: If you have any special requests, please just let us know and we will do our best to make it happen!

Not a relaxing stay

The house is nestled high up in the mountains of Prattsville, on a quiet road with one other property next door. The host was very responsive and gave detailed instructions on how to get into the house and all the house rules. The property has great views, however, we stayed two nights and slept maybe 5 hours total for both nights. We woke up both mornings with bloodshot eyes, which is not great when you have to spend the day on the ski slopes. The furnace is extremely loud. The furnace is next to the bedroom and made banging noises all night long. Waking up the second morning was very rough after only 2 -3 hours of sleep. We went skiing and had a 3-hour drive home, which is not safe when you are sleep-deprived. The furnace needs to be updated to ensure a relaxing stay for guests!!

Cozy upstate New York cabin

Cozy, spacious, and well-equipped cabin. It’s even more charming than the photos. Kitchen is fully equipped, we were able to cook a nice dinner after a full day on the slopes. Beds were comfortables and the rooms were warm, fireplace helps in keeping the warmth in the house. Everything was very clean and tidy. The hosts did a great job communicating with us, answered every questions and provided a lot of intel on the area.
