Boutique property, welcoming staff/service, and good facilities. We enjoyed the pool, fitness equipment was in good condition.
Front desk provides USD to TTD currency exchange which was convenient. Cafe was priced in USD and expensive and while the staff was pleasant to deal with, they could’ve been faster.
Room was large, well appointed and clean. However the first day we checked in, there was a horrible smell of gasoline from the air vents due to service work on the roof and the only solution from the front desk was to exit the room and wait a few hours. No compensation or apology was extended. We were too tired to argue. Thankfully the smell went away a few hours later. Secondly, while the beds were comfortable, one of our queen bed mattresses was clearly damaged on the edge (separated) indicating time for replacement. Finally, the pillows were quite uncomfortable - too soft and resulted in neck pain!
We had breakfast incl in our stay and the selection was decent. Certainly better than typical continental breakfasts but considering it’s USD 25 per person, I would’ve expected more variety. The turkey sausage was halal which was a nice surprise.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay at the BRIX again. Pleasant stay, convenient location, welcoming staff and good sized, clean rooms.
