“My wife and I really enjoyed this cozy retreat in the Oakland Hills! It has a spiritual vibe and includes many examples of artistic stonework done by the host. We liked the location about halfway up the hills, so it feels hidden in a forested glade - we heard owls more than once - and is protected from the wind that is often experienced at the top of the hills. It's very quiet at all times, yet it's walking distance from Montclair Village and a short drive from Berkeley. There are many……

“we booked the cottage as we were visiting family for the holiday. Miscommunication of some sort, could not reach host, finally called and they had accidentally double-booked and so we ended up staying our first night of our booking in a smaller apt next door with 2 twin makeshift beds. they got us a room for the night at short notice due to the double booking, but not terribly comfortable. the next day we did get to the correct place which was nicer. it was more comfortable and as they described……
