“We had a trip of six guys, three father and son groups, to the hill country planned and found this rental which worked out perfect for us. The house and bunk house were very accommodating, clean and comfortable. The location outside of Llano was perfect. The property is in an area along the river that was very scenic with deer in the yard everyday. There are neighbors, but we never saw them and my guess is they are mostly getaway type places. I would recommend for your next trip. ”

The cabins were definitely more than glamping?? In fact, the bed in the Sunday Cabin had the most comfortable and adjustable mattress just like our bed at home - wasn't expecting such a high end mattress, but it was wonderful! We played tennis and pickleball all day and because of the lights on the court - we played well……

“It was right off of the Main street in Llano and was so cute! was so clean and the sheets were buttery soft and bed was super comfortable. Built in 1870 and totally refurbished; had fresh baked pastries for us and a large kitchen....we would definitely stay again if we go to Llano in the future. Highly recommend!!”

“Cabin was great! It was just what we needed to wind down from a hectic lifestyle. Walk to the river was quite further than we expected and if you plan on taking chairs and ice chests, be prepared to cross over some pretty rough terrain. In all honesty, the views are amazing and hearing the rush of the water was soothing! We’re used to remote locations and have been hunting all our lives, this reminded me of a hunting cabin and I couldn’t have been more pleased with everything! If I had to say……

“Great little place to stay. Me and my Brother visited for a hunting trip. Well put together and served our needs perfectly. We plan to be back soon.”

“If you are needed a place to stay for a few days in or around the Llano area, THIS is the place to stay. Very nice, clean, and comfortable. On the river (you can swim if you want). Close to downtown Llano and just blocks from the best BBQ in Texas! You won't go wrong staying at Riverhouse!”

“This was a great stay for our extended family to unwind and enjoy time on the river. The breezeway table was a really standout for us - every meal was had there. River access on the property was perfect. The town of Castell is very small, so pack all you might need in terms of grocery items. ”

“The property was wonderful! Very well-appointed, clean and comfortable! The only negative was noise at night from the gym located next door, but even so, we would definitely like to stay again as everything else about it made it worth it.”

“Great place to get away, nice and quiet. The hoyse had anything you might need. If you like the outdoors and sit ourside and enjoy the sunrise and sunsets, this is the place. Best part is that since there isn't internet the kids had to intertain themselves and had to interact with others. We loved the history of the place and its rustic look. We will definitely come back soon.”

“Lovely renovated home close to the square with comfortable bedrooms and well stocked kitchen. Mini-split units allow each living space to have comfortable temperature control. Great find and would stay again. ”

“We had the most incredible time at Red Sands Ranch! The property has outstanding views of the bluffs and river and each cabin is perfectly outfitted with everything we needed. The cabins were definitely more than glamping?? In fact, the bed in the Sunday Cabin had the most comfortable and adjustable mattress just like our bed at home - wasn't expecting such a high end mattress, but it was wonderful! “We loved the fact we could check in early. The room was clean and had everything we needed. It's a small motel and had all the basics. Bed was comfortable. No breakfast but for the good price we went and got breakfast each morning. ”
