Interesting place - very rural location but relatively close to the motorway on a typical mountain road. Restaurant in a huge well-restored barn. Surrounding area and nearest villages/small towns have very little in the way of amenities, shops or road surface. Some ok hill walking near the ski lift - wouldn't fancy the skiing much though. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff and owner/manager - has just a bit more English/German than our very limited Italian. Pleasant enough bedroom and bathroom - though shower cubicle would be tight fit for anyone of even moderate girth or height. Breakfast ok if you like sweet things or fruit. Evening menu reasonable especially the ante-pasto, pasta sauces and the grilled lamb, but pasta and dessert not very obviously home made. Too late in the year, early October, for the outdoor swimming pool but pleasant setting below orchards and with fantastic views of the surrounding (limestone) mountains. Spent two days/three nights, including visit to Cephalu, which was well worth the trip.
