“I really appreciated the cleanliness of the room. It was a lot smaller and darker than it looked online, but adequate to our needs. Never even thought about it being upstairs; it was difficult carrying our luggage up the stairs. The lighting wasn't good as I could not figure out the overhead light. My 91-year-old sister was disappointed there was no TV in the room. The biggest surprise was the height of the bathroom mirror. “Our family stayed in this historic property for a celebration of life of family members who passed away recently. The beautiful and spacious front porch with rocking chairs and a swing was an amazing place to share laughter and memories while the kids played in the expansive front lawn. “Three stars is being nice, this place isn’t bad by no means but the pictures are definitely professional. The bottom floor smells like someone left a grumpy for a few months. The trailer situation is quite ridiculous, as it states a 24’ trailer will fit on the property, this is true but not without messing your trailer up. We scraped every corner trying to get our brand new trailer in place, ended up having to leave it off site as it would not fit without damaging our trailer. You need to update……

“We stayed here so we could go RZR riding in the Hatfield and McCoy trails. It was drivable to the trail system. The house was plenty big enough for our group of 6. We ate all meals at the house so having 2 kitchens was great. They provide you with plenty of towels for all the dirtiness of side by side riding. There is laundry but just a note bring quarters. We would totally stay there again.”

“This is a great house to rent if you are looking to ride the Spearhead Pocahontas trail or the Pocahontas Hatfield-McCoy trail. The Spearhead trail is right across the road and the Pocahontas HM connector is about a 10-15 min ride away on pavement. The home itself was very clean & roomy and had everything we needed.
