Amazing Property!
Beautiful house, very well equipped, clean and comfortable. Ideal for families. Gorgeous location, easy access to Plymouth. Very enjoyable stay :)

The cottage was very spacious, the kids really enjoyed this.

This was a return visit for us to this property as we loved it so much first time around.
This was a return visit for us to this property as we loved it so much first time around. The location is fantastic if you like walking and exploring and the property is a good size for a family get together. However, we were disappointed that the barn had not had any updates since our previous visit a year ago and appeared to be lacking some TLC. I think this property needs a bit of tidying up and some care and attention to the smaller details and then it will be a fantastic place to stay again.

The White Dove Barn cottage was perfect for our long weekend break with 5 adults, 1 teenager and 2 k
The White Dove Barn cottage was perfect for our long weekend break with 5 adults, 1 teenager and 2 kids. The barn has been converted with character to give you lots of space. The open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen on the top floor was perfect for spending time together as a family. The nearest beach is a short drive or walk away. Jon the owner was very welcoming to all of us and gave me a guided tour of the farm to show me the walk to the beach across the farm. He also lets the kids feed an orphan calf and lamb every morning which was a truly great experience for them. We wouldn't definitely go back to White Dove Barn cottage and not just to see our friends who live in Wembury.

The property is extremely spacious but considering the very high price charged it could benefit fro
The property is extremely spacious but considering the very high price charged it could benefit from some refurbishment and equipment maintenance; for example the cooker control panel signs are worn away so that it is difficult to work out how they operate. The TV remote controls did not work, they are worn out. The interior is very plain and needs brightening up, maybe with some modest artwork on the walls. The lounge while very large has no focal point, there is no fire place or stove for example. While we found the property very clean, we had to buy toilet rolls for the bathrooms and light bulbs were dead in the main bedroom, showing a lack of attention to detail. The main bedroom door sticks shut and is very difficult to open from the inside, it needs a handle. Outside, the grounds are very plain, there are no flowers and little planting in the patio area. Fences and gates are rickety and need a coat of paint. The property is beautifully situated on a working farm in lovely surroundings and the paths and lanes down to Wembury beach are a delight (though very steep!).The owner is very pleasant and took me on his truck to show the paths around the farm, very obliging.

What a fabulous place.
What a fabulous place. The barn itself was incredibly spacious, equipped with everything you would need for a self catering holiday. The location was equally as good for a family break, with the nearest beach being a 10 min walk and more coves to choose from a short drive away. The children (5,6,9& 10) are already asking when we can go back! A special thankyou to John for being a great host and offering the children the chance to bottlefeed the lamb and calf - a lovely touch.
