“House is fine and furnished everything we needed. However, there was No living area downstairs with a TV for the group to enjoy watching TV (ballgames and such) only in in a room upstairs that has 2 sofa beds that we needed for sleeping too. House is dated and needs some small repairs but those repairs did not hamper our stay. Beds are as follows since I found VRBO description confusing. I queen in bedroom downstairs 2 queens in another bedroom downstairs Two twin beds ina very small bedroom……

“Quick 4 day trip to Mammoth Cave area with my spouse and best friend from the Army. Great location although a bit close to the road for the paper thin “soundproofing”. Road noise doesn’t bother me much but shared wall neighbors and “thin walls” is a nightmare. Not only is it annoying hearing them but I feel super awkward the entire time trying to be quiet knowing they can hear us and that’s not an enjoyable way to spend vacation time. The unit is nicely decorated and furnished, just with heavily……

“Eight16 was the perfect spot for our group of ten adults and three kids. It’s beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. The layout is great in that even with a big group, there’s places to go to get some social recharge. The beds were supremely comfortable. Chatting to the host was a delight. Seriously, the only negative I can think of was the lack of closet space. But aside from that 10/10. ”

“This property was a short drive to the caves and water park and was very quiet. There was another group that stayed in the larger home closer to the street and we wouldn’t have known they were there had we not seen their cars. We got to enjoy the pool before they arrived which was nice. We’d forgotten our beach towels, but they were provided by the property owners. We were surprised with home made cupcakes which was a nice touch . All-in all we really loved this stay and would stay again.”

“Highly recommended! Chris and Chuck were amazing hosts. The cottage is very welcoming, comfortable, clean and nicely decorated for the season. It was stocked with everything you could need, the fresh eggs were a nice treat. It was great for our family of 5. We spent a lot of time outside and sitting under the gazebo with a fire. The cottage is nicely located 20-30 minutes from most cave attractions and Bowling Green. The hilly winding roads give a great southern feel. We would love to stay……

“Great spot to stay and explore the Bowling Green area. It's a little noisy because it's right by the road, but turn on the fan or something and it's fine. The cows are very friendly and don't make any noise. Everything was spotlessly clean.”

“House was clean but had heavy cigarette smoke with the smell of deodorizer trying to cover it up. I don’t complain about much but I hate that smell. Other than that everything worked out.”
