I'm not quite sure how to review this hotel, as we didn't actually get to stay here. When we arrived the reception was empty, but we called a phone number left on the desk. 5 minutes later someone arrived to greet us, but only to tell us that hotels.com was overbooking the hotel (regularly). We were exhausted and hungry and very disappointed to get this news since we spent a lot of time deciding where to stay. The host was incredibly friendly and willing to find us another place to stay. If they knew they were overbooked, I am not sure why this was not taken care of in advance of our arrival, and why we were not contacted. Our reservation was made well in advance and paid in full, so I am really unsure how they were prioritizing who got rooms.
The first guesthouse we were sent to was not comparable to Natura -- much older with a bathroom in the common area, not en suite. Luckily, he happily found another guesthouse next door, which was incredibly welcoming to us. Again, if this had been done in advance, there would have been much less frustration over the situation -- not something we wanted to deal with after a long trip to arrive.
