We stayed at Royalton Splash Cancun during March Break with two other families. The resort itself was clean, rooms were spacious, beds were comfortable, and there were lots of activities. Staff were friendly, and the kids club was a big hit. However, my husband and I got quite sick during our stay (vomiting for a night, about 2 days to recover, plus a rash). The other families were fine. We had read about a viral outbreak before arriving, so this was concerning. One area that needs improvement is food safety at the buffet—some items (like soups and sauces) were not well covered or protected, both indoors and outdoors. Overall, a nice resort, but better food hygiene would make a big difference.

This resort is top tier! A fault cannot be found, from the rooms set up, food, the staff are beyond remarkable. The entire resort is beautifully laid out and well kept. I booked through Expedia and my entire stay was managed by an Expedia guest group who made every effort to fill every request I had. I stayed with my daughter and there were many kid friendly activities while I could surely see adults who were down to party were also fully satisfied. I’d 100% recommend to any and everyone!!!

This property could be a 4/5 but a few key problems made our stay problematic: Extremely busy and overbooked for amount of amenities such as not enough pool chairs, long wait times for cafe, food trucks, pizza place (30-45 min) If you weren’t at the pool before 8 you would not get a chair but chairs couldn’t be reserved before 7, yet by 7 half of the chairs were gone. They removed our stuff when we went at 6am. Not having suffcient chairs for half of your guests seems like a huge miss. Dinners was another sticking point- you had to make reservations at midnight for the next 2 days and even then you could not get some restaurants. Timeshare/ prime/ diamond club is quite scammy. If you don’t have diamond club you miss out on a lot of perks- ie) you won’t get a chair, won’t be able to get to the restaurants you want etc. kids club you had to leave your child you could not stay and play with them and we were not comfortable with that so we didn’t use it Everything else is an extra charge Water park is a little sketch. Multiple people got stuck in the slides that we met. Food was decent. We did have some good meals. Very mid lots of stuff was just OK. We enjoyed the Indian restaurant and Agave the Mexican best. Staff at the pool cabanas were very good to us.

Ideal hotel for families. The best and most outstanding feature is the food, with a large number of restaurants and a high standard. The evening entertainment is also excellent. Most guests are from the USA and Canada (which made it difficult for our son, who only speaks Spanish, to play with other children). Areas for improvement: cleaning the sargassum seaweed on the beach and having a pool with warm water.

It was an absolute zoo , people on top of each other . I understand they are trying to make most money as possible but they could have managed it better . It was so bad me and my family left the hotel after saying for an hour and they would not even give me a partial refund . The beach was so bad that the water was brown . It was absolutely the WORSE hotel I ever stayed in my life

We just got back from a week long stay for SB. We enjoyed it very much! 4/5 Pros: The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean. They have lots of pool space so you can pick what suits you best. They have water slides and a lazy river. Food was ok (buffet seems to be the same most days) The speciality resturants were all good! They do have a good system where each family can only choice one a day so everyone gets a fair chance. The beach was gorgeous. (we did have a few days with lots of seagrass (but outta their control) they did have people with tractors working to clear it daily. I would say a few of my favorite things about this place was the shows and entertainment for kids. we had our 6 year old with us and everyday they had something exciting for her; design your own t shirt, hand dipping, puppet shows, kids parties, soccer, butterfly release, you name it they did it! They also had a trampoline park and a small arcade that my daughter enjoyed! Cons: My least favorite part of this place and woulda gave it a 10/10 is that the pools were all cold. It was hard to enjoy. You could see everyone around thought the same thing as they got it. I honestly wouldn’t go back for this reason. The ocean water was warmer than the pool water. But we had an croc go into the water by the hotel so we were hesitant of the ocean a lot. They do try and get you to a meeting to buy into their company. They call it the diamond club. We sat in a meeting and they try to sell you it.

We had a really great stay overall—honestly, the hardest part was having to leave. There were so many fun activities going on that the kids were never bored (which, with two teenage boys, feels like a miracle). The water park and lazy river were a huge hit—so much fun for all of us. But the clear winner, according to the boys (12 & 13), was the foam party! We stayed in a swim-up room on the mangrove side and WOW… absolutely worth it. It was amazing, and the kids loved being able to hop in the water whenever they wanted. Definitely a highlight of the trip. Now… the only hiccup: the sleeping situation. We had requested two queen beds for our family of four, but instead got a pull-out couch that can only be described as “cozy” if you’re being very generous. For two growing boys, it was… optimistic at best. There was also no extra bedding in the room, we called twice and went to the front desk but didn't get any bedding until the next morning. All that said, the good definitely outweighed the minor frustrations. We had an amazing time, made great memories, and would absolutely come back.

Our room was always cleaned very well. Staff were all friendly especially as they looked like they were understaffed especially around the pool area when ordering drinks. My downside for the pool was the water was still too cold.

This property was chosen to accommodate our teenage boys. It was a success in that aspect. This resort has all of the extras, but the beach leaves a little to be desired (we knew this going in). The pools were very clean and had daily entertainment.

2 días no hicieron limpieza en la habitación , a la salida quisieron cobrarme un tour por $8,000 pesos que no contraté y luego me querían cobrar el brazalete que ellos me quitaron , tuve que demostrar que la persona que me recogía era mi amiga enseñando fotos con ella, avisé más de 2 veces que festejabamos el cumpleaños de mi esposo y no tuvieron ni un detalle hasta que me quejé ya enviaron unos postres , todo mal no regreso nunca evítense problemas no vayan a este hotel muy mal
