The Riu's strongest asset is their hospitality.....from receptions down to the service staff. We had two issues in our room that needed service and within 20min of notifying reception, we had service.
While at the pool, I accidentally hit the Emergency alert on my watch which alerted my contacts. They notified the reception desk and the staff there promptly began a search for me. I would like to thank the staff for their prompt response to this.
We appreciated Frank's prompt & friendly service at Chili's lunch every day. He is a hard worker!!
We also give special kudos to Luis at the pool who went over & above to make sure we had a chair for my handicapped sister during our stay.
I was disappointed in the Menu for Don Rafael, specifically Thursdays. In our past visits it was "Lobster night" Although Lobster was listed on the menu.....there was no Lobster!! When we asked, we were directed to a "sea food mix" that had lobster.....not what we expected. The menu should reflect what is actually being served.
All in all, I enjoyed my stay at Palace Riviera Maya
