“I really enjoyed the hippos grazing at night. The staff also built us a bonfire the first night we were there and we were able to eat around it. The biggest problem was they said we were not expected ( even though my name was clearly on their guest list) and that they did not know we had a 6 year old with us. They were very confused at first and did not know how to handle the situation. One man was very unfriendly.”
“For the money it is a good location. Not far from Paraa where it is 3-4 times more this hotel ot is a bargain. With little improvement could be a super deal. Even so it is a good deal. They have good restaurant with good fish or chicken and chips. Ladies serving and hotel ladies are providing good service. Management helped with check in and our needs in rooms. Some things in the rooms needs to be corrected but for the money I will stay anytime there again. This was my second time staying at the……
“I am really, really tired of hotels claiming that they have ‘free wifi’ (I stay in hotels >300 nights per year). This hotel had only intermittent electricity (so no power to the small fan in the room at night). In 48 hour stay perhaps 2 hours of connectivity. I encourage Hotels.com to add a third category “wifi MAY be available””
“You pay high $ value for this hotel and the first thing is the half mile road leading to hotel is nothing but pot holes and absolutely rugged. Entering the reception area, there was not enough light to fill in the forms, etc. Amenities in the room were less than adequate. Poor lighting and just one plug to use your charger hair dryer etc. BTW, no hair dryer. ”
“This lodge isn't near the safari area, it's about a 45min drive to get there. The rooms are nice but lacking services, such as no hot water for half the time, smelly towels, not enough towels, etc. The food is good but it's buffet style. ”
