“Avoid Waiheke Island Resort! Had a terrible experience where our room was completely not clean even when first checked-in! Dirty and unprepared, bedsheet unmade, towels all over toilet, used coffee cup in kitchen. Staff were unhelpful with insufficient follow-ups, even hanging up on us. They moved us to a worse room without the view we paid for to settle and couldn't reach them anymore to assist luggage up and down the stairs changing over rooms. “We had a wonderful stay at The Oyster inn, from the very start when we were met by the wonderful Stefi at the reception desk till we left the day after. The room was nice and clean, quiet at night (I slept like a baby for 7 hours...) and with a nice bathroom. Waiheke itself was as nice as we had hoped. Beautiful surroundings, a lovely beach (we took a morning swim, a bit chilly at around 15 Celcius...), easy to take the local bus to the wineries at Onetangi Rd. Wish we had stayed one more……

“My wife and I spent two nights with Andy & Pip at the lodge at the start of our New Zealand vacation. They were great hosts, picked us up at the ferry dock, helped guide us with local transportation options (take advantage of the bus system to the local wineries) and Pip provided a wonderful breakfast that was a highlight of our visit.
