Was very frustrated reserved 2 rooms that connected, called to confirm connecting rooms a few days prior and they confirmed we could have connecting rooms. When we arrived they told us no they do not have connecting rooms for us so they split my husband, myself and children up into 2 rooms that were not even next to each other or across from the hall. When we got into the room discovered they had adjoining rooms in our rooms asked about them at the front desk and were told both rooms weren’t occupied but they were not available for use. Discovered the room had not be properly cleaned and found other peoples food in the freezer. Disappointed and will not be returning ever!

Comfy bed, clean room, nice staff, no complaints. For a hotel in Pagosa I would rate above average. I live right up the road in Bayfield and regularly book in Pagosa as necessary to facilitate work travel. For contractors there is a nice open parking lots to pull in pickup trucks with trailers. Not sure how a tractor/truck (semi) would fare, but I stayed there with my dually pickup and 35 ft gooseneck and there was plenty of room.

Bed Bugs

I recently stayed at Hillside Inn, and it was an absolute nightmare. When we entered our room, we were greeted by a strong musty smell and the distinct odor of bug spray. As if that wasn't bad enough, within an hour, we discovered bedbugs crawling out from the headboard and onto the sheets. We informed the night clerk, who moved us to a different room, which took us hours to transfer all our belongings safely. To our shock, he admitted that the management is aware of these issues but still places guests in these affected rooms. We checked several other rooms, and the situation was no better. There were blood and urine stains in nearly every room we inspected. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the hygiene and management practices at this hotel. I do not recommend staying at Hillside Inn.

Room was not clean. I was informed there is only one housekeeper on staff. Even common areas and hallways are covered in dust and grime. Hot tub was broken. For the price I paid, I would at least expect the sheets on the beds to be clean but I ended up requesting clean linens and changing them myself. I do not recommend staying here.

It was morning 7.30 am and Our family was checking for the breakfast and i is over.. supposed to be between 6-9 am and we are starting for Pagosa hot bath, It was late for the bath and we did went without breakfast ..Unfortunately she got dizziness and we managed somwhow. Please dont give falsehope that breakfast woud be there that will be the expectaion. We might have time for the backup plan in that case

Never again!!

We waited 30 minutes to check in because there was only one person at the desk. There is no elevator in this building. Everything is out of order! Ice machines, hot tub, and the main level bathrooms. We didn’t have any running water for two hours and woke up the next morning to find out we still had no water. There was no one to even talk to at the front desk about the issue. The phone just rang with no one to answer it.

Water was not working for a few hours. Front desk personnel were very rude. I wanted to cancel reservations, but read that I would lose out on my 200 I paid for the one night. I had no other choice , but to stay here!
