It was an interesting stay. I had to stay in Paducah due to weather conditions on my trip. This was the last hotel/motel in the city that had an available room. The rate was cheap, so you get what you pay for. I didn't have super high expectations.
They did have a staffing issue, there was one person at the front desk who had to run keys to a guest while I was checking in. He was very friendly, but you could tell he was busy. There was another lady that was there that kept calling him to switch rooms around. So as I'm checking in, each call delayed my check in time. They had some maintenance work going on throughout the hotel. The lobby was very empty, not really any amenities.
The lobby was closed from 11pm-7am, but there was a phone number for emergencies. Desk was a mess, a lot of tasks and procedures hand written and taped on the wall. You would normally expect these to be typed and laminated, under the counter so the guest doesn't see them.
The room was dirty and old. There was an obvious lack of cleanliness. The carpet was matted down and the bathroom tiles were sticky. Dust on the lamps and table behind a desk lamp. The comforters were old, used, and had cigarette burns in them.
The beds were very comfortable surprisingly. TV worked well and the lights all worked.
It was what I expected for what I paid for. Cheap motel. Seemed like whoever is running the hotel is new at it maybe. It had a feeling of unorganized chaos.
