“We spent 8 lovely nights in Barry's Guest House on an extended vacation. He was SUCH a wonderful host! Proactive in sharing information and very responsive when we had any questions. We had been to Las Vegas and Disneyland prior to arrival in Carmel. What a pleasant change! The cottage had everything we could possibly need. From the beyond comfortable bedding to the luxurious shower, everything was awesome. Several times later in the trip, we lamented how much we missed the always ready……

“This home is perfect if you want to be close to “it all” but want peace in the evenings and mornings. We were able to walk/bike just about everywhere we wanted to go. We did drive to Point Lobos as that was a bit outside of our biking range, but this was the perfect location for what my wife and I wanted to do on our anniversary getaway!”

“The property was clean, cozy and quiet. The primary bedroom is huge, has a firm bed and looks out at the backyard seating area. Not sure why there are comments about the shower being complicated, it’s literally just turn it to the right and wait until the hot water comes out. The shower door is a bit awkward, but not a big deal at all. The owner is extremely accommodating and very communicative. We’ve rented 3 other properties within 17 Mile and this was the first we’ve received a gate emblem……
