We had an amazing stay! The beach is literally steps out of the back door. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook and each bedroom having its own bathroom was a great convenience! Very comfortable and quiet, perfect for a weekend getaway!

Cozy home on the beach

This was a great house for our family with an awesome location on the beach where our kids could just walk out the door and play. It’s close enough that you can walk on the beach down to Pelican Brewery and other restaurants. We would stay here again.

Over all, the house was great! My only complaint is that the barbecue was really dirty with metal shavings from the brush. Otherwise, the house was clean and neat and right on the beach!

Wonderful Beach Haven

This house is a perfect way to enjoy Pacific City and the beautiful Oregon coast. The owners are lovely and easy to communicate with and the beach access is unparalled. One of my favorite places to get out of the hustle and bustle and relax.

The house was too expensive for what you get. Mattresses were old and uncomfortable, kitchen stocked with dated and sometimes dirty stuff, appliances don't work properly, shower leaked all over floor...etc... The view and locations were outstanding, though.

We love Kiwanda shores! This home was right on the sand! It was nice that each bedroom had its own bathroom! We enjoyed putting the lounge chairs on the sand to sit and enjoy the beautiful view! Thanks!

Peaceful beach getaway

Great views. Quiet spot. Loved seeing whales from the couch or the first bedroom. Had an issue that the host quickly was able to help us with! Plenty of towels and other amenities and a book provided by the hosts for troubleshooting. Been gone two days and already miss the view!!

Last renters failed to clean BBQ. Small garbage can was upside down half full of sand (corrected) large garbage can lid does not secure -rusted. Flood lights by door inoperative. No GFCI on outlet by kitchen sink. I am not trying to run your home down, we had a great stay and your home is very well stock. We loved your home and would rent it again. Thank you

Great location!

Fantastic location, loved being able to step directly onto the sand. Communication with owner was great, very prompt. We weren’t able to get the firepit to work, possibly operator error. We were blessed with fabulous weather and used the small portable fans provided, and they were pretty covered with dust. Overall great stay, would definitely recommend!

Great location and view

The views from this home are outstanding. It is an easy walk to town on the beach or on the road. The owner was very responsive. I had a couple of questions when I got to the house and she got back to me right away. It was nice to have a bathroom for each of the bedrooms. The few things that could be improved are a good cleaning in the kitchen. Cooking utensils and pans were put away that had not been cleaned and new pillows would be nice. The bed on the left upstairs has a pretty big sink hole in it and it is very squeaky. Based on the responsiveness of the owner, I do believe pride is taken in the home and again the views can’t be beat

Long walks on the beach

The location of this home was perfect for us. We enjoyed what felt like endless stretches of beach. Seeing and hearing the waves from inside the house was such a treat! One family member is hyper-allergic to poison oak. Since this home is right on the sand with only beach grass and a couple other plants around, we were all able to fully enjoy the coast without fear of coming into contact wth poison oak on the property. Thank you for the perfect beach vacation experience!

Wonderful views!

The location was perfect and the house size was great for our family. We were a bit confused on the bonfire because we saw groups doing their fire on the end of the high dune because near the ocean was just too far and way to close to water. We weren’t sure what to do based on the strict instructions of the house so we missed out on doing this during our stay. Also, the accommodation was great, but we did have to do our own cleaning when we got there because there was sand and food under the couch. We also had to figure out the TV because a cord was undone from the back. We got it figured out by the middle of our stay. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay and the views were spectacular!

A Lovely Escape

Staying oceanfront is always a treat and this house is no exception. I loved that my kids could run out in front of the house without any safety concerns since the sand dune keeps them well above the ocean waves. The house itself is well stocked. I appreciate that each bedroom has a private bathroom. The beds are decent and shower pressure is great. Some complaints: The lighting is pretty terrible - either extremely bright fluorescent bulbs or too dark. Some additional floor lamps with dimmers would make this home far more welcoming. Each bedroom has an unfinished loft space that you cannot access. Looking up from the primary bedroom, we could see trash bags. And our kids were uncomfortable with the inaccessible spaces in their rooms. This house sure would be more inviting if those spaces were utilized. We did have people walk up and look in our oceanfront windows while we were sitting in the living room and my kids were frustrated at me for having them follow the rules and not hurt the beach grass when we watched so many people climb up and down the "no walk" areas. But can't predict people. Overall, a solid place with the potential to be an amazing place.
