The Space:
Rangiuru Stream by Tiny Away is located in Otaki Beach - North Island New Zealand, just 58 minutes from Wellington. A vibrant city known for its tucked-away bars, café culture, award-winning restaurants and bars, and great coffee. This country retreat is nestled on the edge of the Rangiuru stream, a fantastic place to relax, unwind, and take in the natural beauty of Ōtaki.

Explore this seaside destination and enjoy nearby attractions such as Queen Elizabeth Park and Nga Manu Nature Reserve, as well as nearby towns like Waikanae and Paraparaumu.

A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers).

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny home and its surroundings but have limited access to the stream or section.

Our local recommendations:

- Paraparaumu is a coastal settlement on the Kāpiti Coast known for its beautiful beaches and scenic natural attractions.
- Queen Elizabeth Park offers a wide variety of activities, ranging from swimming and fishing to hiking, biking, and horseback riding.
- Waikanae offers a fine blend of nature activities, including bush walks and wildlife reserves, and cultural offerings, such as galleries and museums.
- Otaki Beach is a tourist beachside destination that offers swimming, river walks, stunning walking tracks, and more.
- Every March, the Māori Film Festival takes place at Kahungunu Marae. This festival celebrates Māori and indigenous film, and is a wonderful opportunity to experience New Zealand's culture.

Getting Around:
By car:
- Wellignton is only 40minutes drive from otaki on the new highway

By public transport:
- We have local buses around the areas

Other Things to Note:
- No WiFi Available
- We have pets on our property
- Pets are allowed by prior notice from the host
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- No smoking allowed inside/outside the tiny home
- Firewood are available at extra cost of $50/ per tub
- Pets are not allowed on beds and sofas, and clean after your pet’s droppings
- Mobile reception is good signal with Vodafone, 2degrees and Spark.
- Please clean up after your pet’s shedding before checking out in courtesy of other guests
- Please note that this is a PET-FRIENDLY property, and pet policies will be sent prior to arrival
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge

Important note:

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the [compost/cassette] toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
