Cons:
- Our res via Hotels.com confirmed this was a cottage w 2-bedrooms,living room and sitting area, with 1 king & 1 queen bed. Only 1 bedroom w/a Queen and a sitting area that included a very uncomfortable and small futon. The confirmation was inaccurate & resulted in a very uncomfortable sleeping arrangement. There was no king bed and no 2nd bedroom. If we had not brought a blow-up mattress, we could not have slept in the "sitting room"
- Res said there was a balcony/patio- but no balcony; w/ balcony, assumed there was a view of the lake, but none.
- There was no air conditioning in the lower level, but 2 in the upper bedroom. It was hot during our stay; tried to move the cold air to the downstairs with the fan, but it was still uncomfortable. Bedroom cold.
- Gas for grill ran out 2nd night just as starting to cook & had to cook inside, further heating up the room.
- The pictures on Hotels.com and on their website are misleading-It is not clear which pictures go with which cottage.
- The Hotels.com reservation did not state the name of the cottage (only "classic cottage") - we were booked "Captain Watch".
-Mitten Housing (MH) double charged us for balance due after stay, which is pending their response.
Pros: the beach is BEAUTIFUL! plenty of room, with nice lounge chairs. Towels, Picnic tables & clothesline, w/puppy bags avail-much appreciated. MH quick to respond to questions.
Price more appropriate for other cottages on lot facing water.
