The Space:
Heading to the Mid Cape means world class beaches, salt air and sunshine. Orleans will put you right in the heart of it all, it’s time to plan your stay at the Salty Sandcastle! Step onto the small front porch and enter into the home's kitchen, with a coffee station and plenty of counter space for your vacation meal creations. Past the kitchen, the home's dining room is a great place to enjoy your meal, before heading into the adjacent living room, where you can chat with family or watch your favorite movie.
The home's bedrooms are separated between the first and second floor. The first floor houses the primary bedroom, featuring a king bed and en suite bathroom, while two bedrooms upstairs are a great space for the kids to hang out and catch some Zs.

Outside, an incredible backyard welcomes you and your four-legged companions in with dining out on the patio, lounging out on the lawn, and loads of space for your furry friend to run around safely behind the fence fully enclosing the yard.

Other amenities include a washer and dryer, outdoor shower, and propane grill. When you are looking to explore Orleans, head downtown to the scrumptious restaurants and art galleries, or enjoy a day at the beach, either ocean or bayside. All that’s left to do now is play in the sand, at the Salty Sandcastle!

Great house
We loved our stay here in Orleans. Only negative was the refrigerator wasn’t working but the rental company provided a replacement. Location was great- and for a dog friendly house very clean!

Nice place directly on the bike path
Nice house and grounds. Well maintained and cute inside. If you like to bike the location could not be better. A little noisy due to the traffic on route 6 , but you soon get used to it.

Great place to stay for our group of 7!
Comfortable beds, very good kitchen supplies, convenient location for hiking and driving! Really enjoyed barbecuing and eating in the yard. Easy for multiple cars to enter and exit. Sounds of traffic are nearby so kept bedroom windows closed more than we would have otherwise.

Lovely House
This house was great for a large group! The outside area was wonderful with plenty of outside seats and the neighborhood was quiet. The inside was very clean and had all of the amenities. We would stay here again.

Perfect Retreat
The house was absolutely ideal, with the perfect layout for more than one family unit getting together for the Thanksgiving holiday. It was so nice being right near the bike trail, with an infant in a stroller and a small dog, it was great to just step outside and go for a long walk without worrying about driving somewhere first. The house was just immaculate, too. We’ll definitely be back again!

Lovely comfortable home
We had a wonderful time at this Orleans home. It was clean, updated, comfortable with a lovely enclosed yard and patio. Our dog enjoyed the yard and it gave us peace of mind that it was completely fenced and gated. This home is located right near the bike trail and close to town. Communication with DelMar was excellent and a 10:00 am check out was nice! Also a nice plus was having 3 full bathrooms, although for this trip we only used 2 bathrooms and bedrooms. Definitely recommend staying here, and we look forward to a future visit.

Orleans was a nice mid point for seeing lots of the Cape. On the way in: Dennis' Scargo Tower, Sesuit Harbor Cafe, putt putt, groceries. In Orleans: 3 Fools (pizza was very good, didn't get to try their pasta put it looked good coming out), Land Ho (bartender jumped on our to go order, everyone loved their sandwiches, awesome clam chowder), Abroad (quaint, friendly service, special dishes "Mmm"), Hog Island Brewery (good beer at picnic table...spray that yard for mosquitos lol), Saturday farmers market (good selection of booths). Enjoyed evening baseball game in Chatham for Cape Cod college league. Killed two birds with one stone and did a whale watch out of P-town in the morning (lots of whale sightings/breeches/feeding) and a late lunch at the Lobster Pot (everyone enjoyed their food). This rental worked well for our group of 7 adults and one toddler. Took advantage of the bocce set at the beach (great idea!) and the three old beach towels that were available helped but more would have been nice. We donated two fold-up chairs (none available to take to beach). Overall the kitchen was nice (suggest more bowls, we seemed to keep running out). More towels all around would make one's stay more comfortable and help to keep the unit cleaned up (i.e. more than one set per person if staying over 2 nights, more than two dish towels, more than one thin roll of paper towels). Checkout 9am was kinda hard but we survived it. Thanks so much for allowing us to stay!

clean, spacious, attractive
Easy check in. We were impressed immediately by the cleanliness and spaciousness of the place. Nifty decorations. The fenced in yard was a huge plus for our two dogs. The yard was large and nicely landscaped. As it is very close to Route 6 there was traffic noise but this was reduced by the fence. Another huge plus is it is 50 yards from the Cape Cod Rail Trail. Easy access by car, bike or even walk to down town.

Strongly recommended
This place was lovely! Very well decorated and had everything we needed. The fenced in backyard was such a highlight! I was disappointed it wasn't quite warm enough to use the outdoor shower. Next time!
